What data we collect and why
Here's the full picture. No vague language, no legalese.
What LumaSpace stores on our server
- Anonymous ID – a random UUID. Not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
- Device model and macOS version – so we know which Macs to test on and can fix compatibility bugs.
- Region and language – your system locale (like "en-US" or "tr-TR"). Not GPS, not your city.
- Pro status – whether you have an active subscription.
- Favorites – which wallpapers you hearted, so they sync across Macs.
- Download and view counts – one record per wallpaper per user. Powers "Featured This Week."
- Mood picks – your daily mood orb selection (if you use it). One per day.
- Uploaded wallpapers – file metadata (title, size, format). Video files on Cloudflare R2.
What stays on your Mac only
Preferences, wallpaper assignments, volume settings, per-screen config, display mode. None of this leaves your device.
What we don't collect
- Your name, email, or Apple ID (unless you email support)
- Your files, photos, or documents
- GPS or precise location
- Browsing history or other app data
- Advertising IDs or device fingerprints
Third-party services
- Supabase (EU-North) – database and anonymous auth
- Cloudflare R2 – wallpaper file storage/CDN
- Apple App Store – payments
No Firebase, no Mixpanel, no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters. Zero.
