Choose and apply your first wallpaper

Getting your first live wallpaper running takes less than a minute.

  1. Open LumaSpace. You'll land on the Home tab with featured wallpapers and curated categories.
  2. Scroll through the collection. Each card shows a thumbnail preview. Cards with a gold "Pro" badge need a Pro subscription; everything else is free.
  3. Click any wallpaper card to open its detail page. You'll see a live preview playing.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. If the wallpaper isn't downloaded yet, LumaSpace grabs it first (usually a few seconds). You'll see a progress indicator.
  6. Once applied, minimize or close the LumaSpace window. Your desktop is now alive!

Tip: After you apply your first wallpaper, LumaSpace automatically sets itself to start at login so your wallpaper is always ready when you turn on your Mac.

Good to know: Some wallpapers have a small gold badge that says "Pro." These are premium wallpapers available with a LumaSpace Pro subscription. Free wallpapers have no badge.
