Fix blurry wallpapers
If your wallpaper looks soft or blurry, try these fixes:
1. Wait for the full download
When you first apply a wallpaper, it may take a moment to download the full-quality version. If it looks blurry at first, give it a few seconds.
2. Check your display mode
- Click the star icon in the menu bar.
- Expand the Display Mode section.
- Make sure it's set to Fill Screen. "Fit" and "Center" modes may leave borders or scale oddly.
3. Match the aspect ratio
Wallpapers come in three formats: Landscape (standard), Vertical (portrait), and Wide (ultrawide). If you apply a vertical wallpaper to a horizontal monitor, it gets stretched and looks blurry. In the Explore tab, choose wallpapers that match your screen shape.
4. Try a Pro wallpaper
Pro wallpapers include 4K cinematic quality. Free wallpapers may be at a lower resolution.
5. Check your screen resolution
On some older or external monitors, the screen resolution may be lower than the wallpaper. This is normal and not something LumaSpace can change.
